Miss Primorye 2011

This Year our Charity partnership was invited to participate in the concourse Miss Primorye. Our Director Francis Landivar was a member of the Jury. One of the participants Anastasia Dodonova, 16 years old, who made it to the 13 finalists, is actually deaf and dumb. We were all very impressed by her courage and character and decided to give her a special price for her participation. Another contestant that also made it to the finalists and won a modeling contract in Paris, was Elena Kava, who is an orphan and was raised in an orphanage in Artiom.

Exibition “Mommy, look how I draw”

Mommy, mommy, look! I draw, come!” – this is the name of social-artistic project. The exhibition of joint creative work of the kids and doctors of the Children’s city hospital # 3 opened in Primorsky picture gallery on 25 of May.

65 orphans under 3 years old were left without parents’ care, in difficult life situation.

Our Partnership created a program how to help Children’s city hospital # 3.

Our volunteers

Project “Older sister, older brother” finished in the beginning of June. Our volunteer stopped going to orphanages and rehabilitation centers for summer time, because they will work as teachers in camps. During three months they were visiting kids, doing lessons, master classes, playing, talking to kids. Children love our volunteers and didn’t want them to go. In September they will meet again.

All teams had good-bye meetings, where kids showed to their teachers what they’ve learnt and how thankful they are for time spent together.

Volunteers from pedagogical team “Istok” came to see kids from orphanage # 2 three times this month. At good-bye meeting children and teachers made a joint presentation of puppet theatre, which they were preparing so carefully during 3 months: made dolls, came up with a script, cast and rehearsals.

Group “Oasis” visited Orphanage # 4. Children showed beautiful hand-made bracelets, presented each other origami, sang song which they’ve learnt together and showed scene from fairytale.

Volunteers from team “Iktus” and children from rehabilitation center “Parus Nadegdi” became friends. All the meetings were held in friendly, happy atmosphere. Kids spent a lot of time outside playing active games. Children draw beautiful crayons pictures on asphalt like a present for volunteers.
